How is laser skin resurfacing performed?

This procedure may be executed under local anesthesia with sedation, especially when laser resurfacing is applied to the face. You will be conscious, yet you will feel no pain and experience only minor discomfort, if any. Depending on the amount of surface area to be treated, laser skin resurfacing can take anywhere from ten minutes to two hours. If one session is not sufficient to meet your needs, the doctor may break up your treatment into several appointments in order to better control your recovery and downtime.
